Urok Doomhowl is a summoned boss, and nearly every LFD-formed group skips him. (There used to be a quest involving him but it was made obsolete in Cataclysm. See Urok Doomhowl.) In order to summon the ogre, you must pick up Roughshod Pike (far left wall after crossing a couple of wooden bridges, they don't sparkle but they'll highlight if moused over), kill Highlord Omokk and loot his head, find and stand very close to Urok's Tribute Pile, and use the head.
The encounter has two parts. The first part is an endurance test of fighting waves of ogres. (Fun fact: Priests used to be able to Mind Control an ogre at a time and force it to walk off the platform and fall into the lava. Blizzard fixed it.) If the situation begins spiraling out of control, a player can right-click the pike to cause it to cast a spell and kill one ogre. This has approximately a 30-second cool-down.
The second part is simply a tank-and-spank of Urok Doomhowl himself by this point of time in the game. His abilities are pretty much small nuisances.
