This item grants the buff Furbolg Form which turns the user into a furbolg for three minutes.  The disguise does not break on combat, although certain activities (like mounting) cannot be performed while in the shapeshifted form.  The rod has a one minute cooldown and unlimited charges.

The original version of Dartol's Rod was Dartol's Rod of Transformation, and was usable outside of Ashenvale.  In the Cataclysm when quests were revamped, Blizzard changed the item so it could only be used within the zone to prevent players from keeping the quest item and not progressing on in the quest chain.
