Important to note: some of the rare-spawns of the Timeless Isle have special conditions which must be met in order for them to spawn (part of the Events System). In other words, you can't AFK and alt-tab to YouTube to splurge on cute kitten videos. Rare creatures on the Timeless Isle are "no tap," so if you decided to watch kitten videos anyway then you aren't completely out of luck.

Rares have a noticeably higher chance of dropping the special item than the elite mobs.
