Posted Nov 7, 2015 (Patch 6.2.3)Prior to Cataclysm, this cooking recipe was obtained by completing the Alliance-only quest Dusky Crab Cakes (now obsolete). This meant the recipe commanded a pretty penny on the neutral Auction House since it was the only way for Horde players to learn it. Now that it can be bought from a Stormwind vendor, the value has significantly decreased in general - though still pricey for Horde players to purchase.
