Posted Dec 15, 2012 (Patch 5.1.0)Originally added to the game during Wrath of the Lich King for level 80 (the max level then) players who wanted their alts to learn Cold Weather Flying (required level 77, originally) as soon as those characters reached Northrend at level 68, and cost 1000g. The tome was removed in Patch 4.0.1 and Cold Weather Flying is now available to be learned at level 68 from additional flight trainers for 500g (400g with perks).
Characters that had this item in their bags prior to Patch 4.0.1 did not have it removed. It is still consumed upon use.
